As featured on Bandcamp Daily's Best Hip Hop of August 2020:
"There’s an invigorating abstract thump to the six song Fiat Lvx project... Consider Fiat Lvx a heady dose of progressive and probing hip-hop."

Irie Swire and Southsyde Slymm bring a well-timed dystopian energy and style to the current post-apocalyptic hip hop underground. Throwback lyricism and progressive beats define their style, in an effort to give listeners the purity of hip hop’s “Golden Era” with an alternately futuristic edge. Working together as the LVXes, the Chicago natives introduce their aggressive debut “Fiat Lvx” August 13, and it’s mainstream-accessible remixes companion “Fiat Nox” August 31, 2020. Immediately upon release, the project has been heralded by several of indie music’s most selective sites and critics; a notable achievement for any freshman group.
Irie and Slymm have partnered frequently over the past decade, as Chicago-based members of the 30-year-old global artist collective PNTGLLRYNTWRK (née The Peanut Gallery). Notable tracks include “The Woo Wop” with Mike Wird, “Longtime” with Diles, and “Early” with Viktor Stone.
Every aspect of both EP’s highlights the collaborative strengths of the PNTGLLRYNTWRK as a worldwide unit. The “Fiat Lvx” soundscape is helmed by experimental hip hop artist Samo’s Day Old Teeth (of This Hawk Has Wings), while the “Fiat Nox” remixes enlists more digestible flavors by producers from Los Angeles, Chicago, Atlanta, Denver, and Albuquerque chapters. The official music video for the lead single, “Fiat”, is directed by collective affiliate Asa Barron, a bi-coastal photography and film professional. As with most Gallery releases, the entire Lvxes project is coordinated and executive produced by The Peanut Gallery’s founder, Anacron.
